Testimonials
“This course is truly for all levels of therapists! I took this course as a new graduate with minimal experience working with amputees, and I learned so many tools to bring to the clinic. This course builds a great foundation if you are new to treating this population and is also valuable for those looking to sharpen their skills. The topics discussed are clinically applicable and Darren provides an interactive and fun space to learn.”
“The course provided a great overview about patient care from initial amputation to community re-integration. I especially found the content about pre-prosthetic and post-prosthetic interventions helpful to my practice. I would highly recommend this course!”
“Unlike many amputee courses that focus on the details of prostheses and components, this course focused in on what PTs can do to rehab a patient on multiple levels. Not only did it focus on the physical aspects of rehab but the psychosocial aspects as well.”
“This course was very valuable in furthering my understanding of gait training with amputees and their prosthetics. I appreciate the hands on approach with the patient models but also the instructor getting us up out of our chairs often to practice the movements we were discussing in class. I will definitely be taking more course from ampuPTee as the instructor was very experienced in the area.”
“This course was extremely helpful and integrated pre prosthetic education and care prior to transitioning into post prosthetic. Pre prosthetic education is something that is missed frequently or not discussed during many other courses. It was great to learn how to increase my skills and learn other techniques to assist my patients prior to receiving their prosthesis. I work exclusively in an Acute Care Hospital and it was educational and helpful that during discussion times we as a group were able to problem solve and discuss caring for amputations at the beginning of their journey.”
